フェイスブック (Facebook)

Well, long time no see again lol

Anyway straight to the topic, facebook... All of you should know what is it. The latest online addiction after porn and game, the ever popular social networking (no surprise isn't it)

Let's talk about the time when I first joined Facebook. I just register out of curiosity of course, for a friend, Babysnail. Nonetheless, I don't find anything interesting back then. For me, it is even harder than Friendster.. ya ya, I know I'm outdated.. sheesh.

But time passes and soon I learn about it and get abit addicted to it. Whose posting what, what I'm tagged for, gossip, emo talks... all those
Speaking of who (friends), I realize that I had only 20+ Facebook friends which is considered.. uhmm, down right pathetic? Even inactive accounts have more friends than I do. Out of a sudden pulse, I switched on to berserk mode and add as many friends as I could. I admit it was a desperate move, but it boosted my friends total number to 200+... of course, less than half is those i know and most of them are girls... (i swear it was the hormone.. lol). But that's the truth of the site, less than 50% of the friends there will remain strangers. So I'm curious about those people who have 500-5k friends.... either you're a celebrity or someone desperate, you be the judge.

Soon after that, I get quite a few requests from other people who is quite.. different. Most of them are FFS (Friend for sale) players where you trade off your pet friend and own them. They are like zombies, which kept coming even though I rejected them. Some would post, would you want me as friend? And the person was posting a cute sexy picture of a female, but upon closer look there is the "Add HIM as a friend" column. To those who are like that, : You don't need a friend. What you need is professional help.

Soon I'm invited to join various groups, most famous right now is "If 1,000,001 people join, facebook will reinstate the old News feed" which is a retaliation to the sudden changes of the feature recently. My view is, if there is nothing wrong with it, don't change it at the first place.

Last but not least, the page decoration (for FFS noticeably), I'm bad at it. Don't know how the other players have the motivation to create so much lol. Asking me to do it is like asking me to solved quantum pyhisic...

so that's all for now, see you again... in... i don't know, a few months? lol

ダンディマン (Dandyman/Metrosexual)

As time flies, society changes. Gender equility emerges and women are holding high ranked jobs and more men are found in the field where it was dominated by the women (cooking, nursing and so on). This is where the urban society spawned a genre or breed of people. The female known as the Sophisticate, the one who is in control of her independence, individuality and above all, strong. They are the women that make men felt as if their balls just shrunk into the crotch area (@_@). These women deserve respect and make some of their sisters (those who always try to act kawaii, sheesh) look like an irritating parrot. As for the males, they are defined as the Metrosexual which is my topic of this post. For those who don't understand the term, here is a easier definition.

Sophisticated

  • Strong, sensual, confident, independent, dependable, wise

Metrosexual may not be the usual image of what a husband should be (big, well built, know how to repair cars & etc). Instead he is self absorbed is confident of his sexuality as he is of himself. He can also make the perfect companion for shopping, knowledgable about healthcare as much as his wife/girlfriend. This man enjoys spending on making himself look good because he takes pleasure in it. He is also a narcissistic and will keep you guessing if you are the object of his admiration. He is a vain and self-assured, with the soul of a poet while emotionally liberated. Very much in tune with his feminine side and unrestrained in his show of affection, this makes him an easier partner to talk about emotions but don't expect him to open up as you would hope he would be.

Metrosexual
  • Fashionable, in touch with inner feminine, house chore-able, understanding, vain , NOT GAY

The result of the birth of this two genre? Unisex beauty spas with complete facial treatment are blooming. Smoothing pitted face, surgery to a better face and figure and eyebrow embroidery are among the few process that are widely done by men these days. So girls, time to step off the beauty throne and let the guys have their share of it. It's the era where both gender can take pride in looking good and desired. ^^

The question is how would the society perceived these new-age male? Most probably they will stare at the metrosexual and "Yeerr, freaking faggots. Gay! You ain't gonna make a windpipe out of my genitals". Oh I am referring the concentional community found here (Yes we are concentional unlike the Western or Asians like Japaneses or Koreans). And I must repeat, THEY ARE NOT GAY (a common misconception. If they are, I would have call them so in the first place, and a new word Metrosexual won't be created to distinguish between them). For the ladies, get used to the men spending as much time and money on themselves as you all do. Bottom line the Metrosexual waves are coming to town whether you like it or not, so just accept it.

For those who wish to have a relationship with them, here's an advice; know their type and move on from there. Within all those negative remarks about them, there are in fact quite a lot of benefits on dating a metrosexual. First would be his passion on emotion which would help you greatly in case you are depressed. It is because they can be a perfect partner for you to talk to, not to mention a flawless shopping companion. Then a metrosexual is the perfect candidate to share household responsibilities, a rare trait in our society these days, compared to the usual ideal manly male. Ask yourself this, do you ever see those muscular chauvinist male helping you with the chores? Remember the cliche from them, "The only place for a woman is the kitchen". Even if they do, they might end up breaking things. Reminds me of Stanley Kowalski from A Streetcar Named Desire. So do I need to explain more? No right? Furthermore, a metrosexual is a being who is in touch of his feminine side, with this versatility, it makes him ideal to understand you as the opposite gender.

Nevertheless it would be a good idea to prepare your parents beforehand when they first meet him. LOL

ターミネイタ (Terminator : Salvation)

Just went to see the latest movie, Terminator Salvation with my friends and someone at Sunway

Thought that it was a kick-ass movie judging from the nurmerous trailers and advertisement but I must it is kinda so-so only...
Damn the power of advertisement, it over exaggerated the movie =..=

I had much expectation from the movie but I guess the predecessors just got the best of him especially Terminator 2 (T2). I am talking about THE Terminator with a heavy Austrian accent here. Anyone who can be a Terminator and becomes a senator, is the MAN!

There are a few reasons for the dismay, first would be the lack of humour. I know, I know, this is an action and sci-fi movie so there is little or no room for humour. Oh come on~ are you trying to tell me the future is all so dead serious and there is no room for entertainment? Boy, I am lucky that I won't be able to live until that era.. or am I? >_<

The only humourous line I could remember is "If you are going to aim it at me, make sure you are prepared to use it" or something like that.. But I must say the line from T2 "Asta la vista babe" really brings back the memories of a Terminator which is able to joke ^^
The part where John Connor is teaching the machine to behave like human (hey Connor, how come you changed from a jolly kid to a grumpy fella)
I can't blame him since the whole "killer bot after you" thing can really messed up someone's head. In this case, its John Connor's.

And of course, the 2nd reason would be the copy of the scene where the tin can was drenched in molten lava and then being freezed by high pressured gas, it is way totally a T2 scene. Guys, you can do better than that right? Of course the CG in this Terminator is way better than the previous ones (that I must give you credit). The line "I'll be back", you can't use if you are not Arnold, it just doesn't work that way.

Anyway, enough with the spoilers here. Watch it to judge it for yourself. Quick review for this movie.

Pros = Nice CG, big explosion and newer model of machines especially the giant machine harvesting humans and moto-terminator (don't know if I got the correct spelling and yes, not motorola)

Cons = Way less humour, montage scene are copied from predecessors, boring lines, less action for the terminators

僕のヘア サルーン のトリップ (My trip to hairsaloon)

こんばんわ、皆さん! まだ食べる? 今日。。。
Prices for food went up, attires, bills, underwears, bribe, lawsuits settlement & so on...
I guess that the our living cost just soared into the sky
Way to go guys, you are one step further in making our life miserable woohoo~
i know that that is inevitable but just feel like taking a shot at them haha
Jeez, didn't know that the price for haircut also skyrocketted that much
Used to be RM10-Rm15, now ranged between RM20-RM25
and that's not included washing part yet
boy i wish back in the days.... @..@
Anyway, yesterday i decided to go for a haircut but my heart was utterly splited into equal portion on which hair salon should i go to...
the problem is my hair was used to be cut by my aunt
Since she gave up her profession for a reason, "gold basin wash hand" already (translate it into Cantonese ) so I have to search for another place to replace it
Since I rang up few of my friends for advice and all voted for every other salon in Desa Setapak and PJ. Desa Setapak is a place where students from TARC usually rented a place, so expect a lot of salons set up there... and a lot of headache as well
walk down the street and there will Miko and their branches, Fix, Silver Cut and so on
damn, it is like the "spreading rate of syphillis in a community of student filled with raging hormones"
okay, maybe bad anology, here's a more general version "mushroom popping up after rain"
Back to the topic, finally i chose "Homme Hair" cause it sounds homely.. lol
naa just kidding, it was recommended by a friend
Went in with a sleepy face but when the shampoo girl started washing my hair and gave a massage, it was like "Wow, damn you're good woman!" (no degrading remark here)
Ei, don't get the wrong perverted idea.. just admiring her skills and she is a nice person to talk with ^^
Oh, someone don't get angry or jealous oh~~~
After a brief discussion with the hairstylist of the hair i wanted, and the master did his job
the final cost, RM25 (cut) + RM10 (wash) + RM5 (quality shampoo) = RM40 $$
will try out their colouring skill later on, just wait until i rooted out my damaged hair 1st of course
then it will only be considered done, will post that pic of mine after that
anyway try Homme Hair, hairstylist B Yap...
さよなら、そしてまた会いましょう~

男 vs女 (Men vs Women)

"He says, she says" a basic cliche in life which we heard every now and then.
As you can see, talking is considered the strongest form of negotiation we have and yet it could lead to a terrible misunderstanding. Before I go any further, don't get me wrong, I ain't no chauvinist and just interpreting what I had read/know.

Why can communication be so difficult and stresses you out when both parties speaks a common language. Here's the problem, they don't =..=
Perhaps the word is the same, yet they are perceived as different message by each individual.
One might come across a person as shy or uninterested because he is not talking much, while other felt his partner is a dick monopolising the conversation. In reality, they do not understand each other's liguistic style or how to make adjustments for it. Don't worry, this comes with practise and experience.

Differences between men and women
Here's the reality, women tend to focus more on rapport (relationship of mutual trust) while men are concerned with status. A bunch of BS you might say, but read on lol

Oh of course i am referring to them in general, not all are like what is said, but most of them is. So please don't be offended or say this is not true. If it is not, then congratulations, you are in the special groups. I am sure you are. ^^

The girls socialise in small groups, talk more and focus on equility. While men do it in a large groups with unequal standing. They tend to display position and knowledge. This can be explain by the guy's own version of olympics on "how far you can shoot?" and "how long is yours?" during the youth period which clearly determine ranks. Contest all the time =..=
Don't even bother to deny it. Every guys I met admitted to it. And woman, don't "yerrr" at us about how disgusting it is. I am sure you girls have your own fair share of it in different ways.

It is part of growing up~~ We humans are primitive because most of our actions are driven by instinct being justified by rationality.

To be more percise, here are a few topic that we often encountered

Questions
How one ask questions depends on the situation. You might be perceived ignorant if you are the only one asking questions.
Men view this as losing face. Therefore resulted in (for example) men are less likely to ask for advice in the class. They would prefer one on one situation where nobody is watching.

Women on the hand view this as a sign of interest and men would tend to form a negative view regarding this matter.

Apologies
Men mostly take "I'm sorry" literally and they less likely to apologise and will ignore/side-step the issue unless it is needed direly. Therefore don't expect to often see a man to apologise. They have the balls to sky dive but they put them in the fridge when they are expected to apologise.
Women will most likely to use the phrase to express sympathy. This can be define by how often you heard a woman say "I'm sorry for what I did."? You might always hear this "I'm sorry this happen to you."

Indirectness
Women tend to be indirect when giving orders while men are direct about admitting their faults. For example, in a situation where a couple are planning to give a present to their old friend. Here's the expected conversation

Wife - "Let's get a plush toy or a crystal ornament to A".
Husband - "Uh, okay" or "What is A going to use the items for? It doesn't serve them in any way." [continue reading the news]
Wife - You know what? Don't bother.

Woman in this situation is trying to get their partner to involve in the decision in getting the present. The man will think "Why you are asking me when you already figured out what to buy?" and they will also analyze the worth of the present in term of usefulness than a form of spiritual term which is perceived by the woman. If they know the wife is trying to get him involve in deciding, they would say "Why couldn't you said so in the first place? It definitely will caused both of us less problem"

I am sure all of you have come across this situation before. In short, understand that both gender perceive words differently before you start judging them.

Feedback
Women tend to soften the impact of negative feedback by complimenting the good behaviour first. The guys will see the first points raised as the most important and will view the comment next as less important regardless of it is good or bad.

Woman - Hey this drawing is good. Such refine work. But it is quite poorly coloured.
Compliments > Condemnation later

Tips for a better relationship is to understand how a man/woman thinks before start judging them.

ヘア ー 私たち毎日のアクセサリー (Hair - An accesory we wear every day)

Well started with the first post (will be posting more in this few days in order to squeeze what i intend to write when I haven't started with blogs in the past)

A friend of mine asked if my coloured hair (in the past, now have different hairstyle) poses a problem/
Problem as in damages dealt to the hair in term of health, parental judgment against it based on moral and society view

Well let me clarify it for those who are not sure about it

The traditional old school society who tend to judge on looks
I know it well since i used to be bombarded with cynical comments back in the days .
They said that long dyed hair makes you look like thugs or illegal vcd seller.
I was like, "wtf?
what era are you in? The stone age?
Well, sorry to tell them that alot of the vicious and brutal criminal these days are those with the appearance of a neat person. A demon in an angel's attire. Serial killers & rapists, more and more are found to be from the so called "ideal looks" from the perspective of the conventional society. Try reading the newspaper, you fossils.
Don't get me wrong, all I am saying is the one who look good doesn't mean he is an angel or the one who is bad looking is bad person

Bottom line is don't be so fast to judge people by their cover

A word of advice, just follow you heart as long as you are ready for criticism and be on the right track in life. You will need it in our typical society.

Now lets head to the myth of hair colouring
As we all know, colouring your hair makes you look more bright as in not gloomy, it also can brighthen up your skin complexion. Now here is truth to hair colouring as had been researched and opinion based on professional hair artist which I had read in the past

1) Coloring your hair makes it dry
-True with repeated colouring. This makes hair more porous and fragile, which made this type of hair often feels dry. Consult with your hairstylist to suit your needs

2) Colouring your hair will turn it grey
- Bullshit is the answer. Hair only turns grey as part of pre-determined genetic make-up. At some point in life, the hair follicle stops making melanin grains (your natural hair colour), so it is left with no pigment resulting in total whiteness

3) Colouring makes your hair drop
- False again. Colour molecule do not in any way affect the hair follicle. The part of hair that is coloured is the external hair fibre which is not living.

Anyway hope that it helps, just remember that colour your hair accordingly, don't be extravagant. Bear in mind that it will also burn a hole in your pocket.

That's all for now, see you again~

ブログへのイントロダクション (Introduction to Blog)

Well well, finally i decided to blog, after much persuasion from friends =..=
I always thought of posting something but i just don't have the will or the perseverance to maintain 1 though, in short.. well i am lazy @..@
So, expect this blog to be updated once in .. i don't know.. a few thousand years?

Truthfully, i never expected that i would blog, not in a another few milleniums
I always thought that it is troublesome and 'emo' to have one (eg rumbling on and on about how your life sucks and stuff like that)
so don't worry yah, i will try to avoid that as much as I could unless there is a solid reason for it
So my blog would mostly something light and have some little counselling/advice (as my friend had suggested me earlier which get me started on blogging)
you know, share my view about certain subjects

Anyway i am new to this blogging, didn't know the 'rules' of blogging , such as should i post something long, short or what lol
so don't come and bombard me about how my blog stinks >_<

Oh, sorry for the looks, as you can see, it is still under construction (the layout and design)
Will alter it from time to time, don't have the energy to sit in front of the pc all day to edit them in 1 go =..=
